Home Telecom has taken community Wi-Fi to the next level in

Nexton by offering free SmartTown Wi-Fi!

MONCKS CORNER, SC — Home Telecom is now offering free SmartTown Wi-Fi access

to Home Telecom customers in the Nexton community!

In 2022, Home Telecom increased average Wi-Fi speeds by about 600% in Nexton square, Brighton Park Great Lawn, The

Hub and Brown Family Park to ensure patrons would not struggle with network overcrowding and intermittent access, even during large events. The upgrade ensured a faster and more consistent Wi-Fi experience for anyone enjoying the parks.

Home Telecom has taken community Wi-Fi to the next level in Nexton by offering free SmartTown Wi-Fi! Free to Home Telecom customers, SmartTown Wi-Fi gives residents internet connectivity in more areas throughout the community.

“Since Nexton’s inception, Home Telecom has proven to be a true partner in our vision. Our shared commitment to innovation not only ensures cutting-edge technology but also fosters a thriving and digitally empowered community,” said Brookfield Properties Marketing Director Cassie Cataline. “We take pride in being able to offer amenities that encourage a work-life balance. Now with SmartTown, being able to safely and effortlessly stay connected while enjoying these amenities is another way to take this convenience to the next level.”

The initial main areas where SmartTown Wi-Fi will be accessible includes the Nexton Square, Brighton Park Great Lawn, The Hub, and Brown Family Park. More connectivity will be available throughout the neighborhoods of Nexton.

“This is only the beginning,” said Home Telecom’s Vice President of Marketing Gina Shuler. “As the preferred technology partner in Nexton, Home Telecom knows how important innovation and continual improvement is to the members of this community. We plan to keep building and enhancing this exciting new way to stay connected while enjoying the amenities and social opportunities in Nexton,” she said.

SmartTown Wi-Fi by Home Telecom is different from the open public Wi-Fi most people are used to in that it utilizes the same security network customers experience at home. Now when customers are out and about in the community, there is an added layer of protection from hacks, viruses and other malicious attacks when connected through SmartTown Wi-Fi.

Home Telecom customers are able to register and access SmartTown Wi-Fi in Nexton. Once registered, Home Telecom customers will receive an invitation to join SmartTown. Customers will need to set up their free account, and after that, they will be automatically connected when in range of SmartTown Wi-Fi.
