2022 Season to Showcase Nexton Community

MONCKS CORNER, SC February 22, 2022 – Home Telecom is the official internet provider for the HGTV mega-hit home renovation competition series Rock the Block, debuting its 2022 season in Berkeley County’s Nexton community at 9 pm on Monday, February 28, 2022.

The new season will feature homes built by Hunter Quinn Homes and wired by Home Telecom.

Home Telecom not only performed the inside wire installation for each home, but they also provided internet service to the production team during filming. The entire set, including the four competing homes, was wired with Home Telecom’s state of the art gigabit internet. Home Telecom also set up a redundant loop for the production team to make doubly sure they were never without service.

“This is not only a fun and unique opportunity for Home Telecom and the Nexton community to be part of such a popular TV show, but it exemplifies the importance of providing the most innovative, cutting-edge internet to our community,” said Home Telecom CEO William Helmly. “I admit when we talk about how internet technology and automation will change how businesses operate and how it will increase home values in neighborhoods across the Lowcountry – I did not realize it would be front and center on a major television show.”

“But I cannot think of a more appropriate demonstration of our services than to see them seamlessly supporting video production and maintaining communications for the show.”

Hosted by popular carpenter, craftsman, and design expert Ty Pennington, the third season will showcase four teams of HGTV’s powerhouse experts, who will face-off in a renovation battle for bragging rights, and a street in Nexton named in their honor.

Each team will have six weeks and a budget of $225,000 to renovate identical properties and morph them into the ultimate suburban oasis that reflects their distinctive vision and breathtaking design.

Nexton and Hunter Quinn Homes will be hosting a series of star-studded online watch parties for the premiere episode. Learn more at Facebook.com/NextonSC. Be on the lookout for more details about an in-person Finale Party—with food trucks, prizes, tours, and more—that is in the works!
