A Celebration of Roots Music, Inclusivity, and Community

Givhans Ferry, SC — The highly anticipated Edisto Blackwater Boogie Festival (EBB) is set to return for its fifth annual celebration from October 18-20, 2024, at the scenic Givhans Ferry State Park in Dorchester County. This unique festival, renowned for its diverse lineup of folk, blues, R&B, country, and more embraces the essence of "roots" music, which honors the sounds that have shaped our culture.

Since its inception in 2019, the Edisto Blackwater Boogie Festival has raised over $20,000 to support improvements at Givhans Ferry State Park, specifically the creation of an ADA-accessible trail. The festival's commitment to inclusivity is at the heart of its mission, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beauty and community spirit of the park.

"We believe that music has the power to transcend boundaries and bring people together," says the festival organizers. "By fostering inclusivity and supporting local causes, we aim to strengthen our community through the universal language of music."
