Fall fun for all is heading to Ridgeville on October 22

Fall fun for all is heading to Ridgeville on October 22. The Leadership Dorchester class of 2022 will host a Fall Family Fest from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the new Dorchester Heritage Center site.

This free event is open to the community. Costumes are welcome and encouraged. In addition to food trucks, live music, there will be a kids’ zone with bounce castles and a fire truck to explore plus “trick or treating” through nonprofit and business vendor booths. The event will celebrate the grand opening of the Dorchester Heritage Center's REV Pavilion.

The REV Pavilion is the first structure to be built on DHC’s new site and is this year’s Leadership Dorchester class project. Class members raised funds and coordinated all aspects of constructing the Pavilion, which is on track to be completed before the event. The Pavilion will offer community access to DHC’s site and fulfill a need for flexible venue space within the area.

DHC’s new site is located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 78 and S.C. Highway 27, on the opposite side of the road from the Walmart Distribution Center and the Ridgeville Industrial Campus.
