The Staybridge Suites® - Charleston-Summerville www.staybridge.com/summervillensc hotel has named Richard “Rick” Buggle, General Manager and Tara K McConnell, Director of Sales & Marketing. 

In Rick’s new role, he will oversee the day to day operations and financial responsibilities of the hotel and Tara will be responsible for the sales and marketing efforts; both creating a warm, welcoming environment for employees and guests. Our goal is to have our guests feeling at home when they are here, missing us when they leave us, and excited to see us when they return.

With more than 30 years in the hospitality industry, Rick Buggle most recently served as the General Manager of the Fairfield Inn & Suites Airport Convention Center, where he drastically increased guest satisfaction within less than a year. 

Rick began his hospitality career as a Task Force Manager in south eastern region. He later joined Residence Inn by Marriott , SpringHill Suites by Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott as the Area General Manager, where he remained for an impressive eighteen years. Rick has proven to be the go-to General Manager when hotels were struggling and needed a new focus.  

The new property offers well-designed spacious guestrooms which include a mix of deluxe studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom suites with communal living spaces. Guests enjoy fully equipped kitchens with a full-size refrigerator, microwave oven, cooktop stove and a dishwasher. The hotel has unique complimentary offerings such as daily hot breakfast buffet, Home Theater, outdoor living room with barbecue, fire pit, outdoor games, such as corn hole, and evening receptions Monday through Thursday evenings with wine, beer and customizeable entrees.
