Dogtopia Dog Daycare, Boarding and Spa Facility to Open First Lowcountry Location

Dogtopia, the nation's leader in dog daycare, is opening its first Lowcountry location at 619 Myers, Summerville, SC, in spring/summer 2023.

The franchise location is locally owned and operated by Summerville-area entrepreneur Marc Cotone, who owns three Eggs Up Grill breakfast restaurants (in Cane Bay, Ladson, and Knightsville) and wife Jackie.

The couple sees Dogtopia as a natural next step as they expand their footprint in Summerville as the organization aligns with their personal and professional values of providing the best service to their neighbors (including furry friends) with a local touch.

“Our interest in Dogtopia began with our love of dogs and realizing that our own pup, Madi, needs daily exercise and socialization as she ages,” said Marc. “As we learned about the daycare’s unparalleled safety and cleanliness standards, as well as the commitment to giving back, we knew we had to share it with the Summerville community.”

“We can’t wait to help Summerville dogs find their BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever) and have the Most Exciting Day Ever!” added Jackie.

In addition to offering daycare, overnight, and spa services, Dogtopia of Summerville will raise money for service dogs for Veterans and commit to employing adults on the autism spectrum through the Dogtopia Foundation.

With more than 220 locations across North America, Dogtopia is the nation's fastest-growing brand in the booming pet services industry and recently ranked at #51 on Entrepreneur Magazine's Annual Franchise 500 list.

The Dogtopia franchise family is composed of both single-unit and multi-unit operators, including husband and wife teams, father and daughter/son duos, siblings, and many experienced entrepreneurs who are diversifying their portfolios. For more information visit our website https://www.dogtopia.com/summerville/ or visit our social profiles, Instagram and Facebook.
