Rick Hendrick Charleston Raises Funds for 2020 Komen Lowcountry MORE THAN PINK Walk

October 9, 2020

Rick Hendrick Charleston has accepted the challenge to raise funds for the 2020 Komen Lowcountry MORE THAN PINK Walk in the fight against breast cancer. We walk because we believe in the power of people to change the world. We believe in the power of community, which goes beyond geography to shared experiences and passions. We believe no one facing breast cancer should walk alone.

Our goal is to raise at least $10,0000. The more we raise, the more research we can fund and the more support will be provided to the women and men facing breast cancer who need our support now. Many are facing unprecedented challenges due to COVID… lost jobs, lost insurance, and lost social connections. And whether it’s emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen SC’s Partners in Care program, or help navigating their care journey, and more, Komen South Carolina will be there with our help. Did you know that over the years, the affiliate has invested more than $11 million over in local community health programs serving our friends and neighbors?

We accepted the challenge because this is important work: Approximately 4,780 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in SC this year alone and 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. And, yes, men can also develop breast cancer.

Your support is an inspiration to the Hendrick Charleston team and to everyone who is fighting to end breast cancer forever.

To mail a donation, please include a note that it’s for the Hendrick Charleston team and make checks payable to:
