Kimberly Caughell joins the Chamber staff

Kimberly Caughell joins the Chamber team as Director of Business and Community Engagement. In this role, she will be handling all of the Council and Division meetings, programs, and events.

Caughell grew up in South Carolina and has lived in Summerville for 12 years.

She spent the last 17 years working with the Summerville Family YMCA in various roles including Programs, Membership, Marketing, and Development. Coordinating the Flowertown Festival for the last 10 years has fostered important relationships with local businesses and organizations.

Being an active member of the community through participation in groups such as Leadership Dorchester has led to a passion to see Summerville grow and prosper.

In her spare time, Kim likes to spend time with her family and take in all Dorchester County has to offer.  She enjoys hiking on the Rosebrock Trail and biking on the Sawmill Branch Trail.

She and her husband, Matthew, have a blended family with 7 children ranging from a senior in college all the way down to a 2nd grader.

Her favorite quote is, “Kindness is a language that the blind can see and the deaf can hear.”
